When the company was established in 2001, large commercial
energy users were typically paying just 2.5 pence per kW for
electricity to run their centralised Heating Ventilation & Air
Conditioning Systems. That same year, saw the introduction of
the Climate Change Levy, the first piece of carbon abatement
legislation.
Since 2001 then, the Energy Saving solutions market has been a
hive of activity due to energy prices increasing over 400%, and
increasing energy reduction legislation, such as the ETS
Emissions Trading Scheme, EPBD Energy Performance of Buildings
Directive and CRC Carbon Reduction Commitment.
During these years Efficient Air has grown into a market leader
in reducing the energy consumed by large Heating Ventilation &
Air Conditioning systems that consume between 40 to 80% of a
building’s energy costs.
Efficient Air welcomes the statement from the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change. Now it is up to business and government to make sure that it happens in practice.
Leading HVAC energy saving company Efficient Air is urging medium and large sized organisations to obtain and read carefully a document issued by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) titled “A Guide to Air Conditioning Inspections for Buildings”.
CBI director-general, Richard Lambert, used his keynote speech at the recent Siemens Sustainability Conference to emphasise the need to make energy and environment long-term priorities.
– but for centralised more complex systems how could they benefit from partnering with accredited companies specialising in HVAC Energy Saving Solution?
